This Friday, June 19th, we will be running a fun experiment to see if we can push the hashtag #BlogIndiana up into the Twitter trending list. Here is how it works…

What do I need to do?
At approximately 9:00 AM EST this Friday morning (feel free to organize a different time amoungst yourselves), those of you interested (either because you want to attend Blog Indiana 2009, you want to see something related to Indiana start trending on Twitter, or you just like fun social media experiments) will start tweeting using the #BlogIndiana hashtag in your tweets.

What should I tweet about?
You can tweet about anything, really. However, it would be best if it wasabout the conference, topics around blogging and social media, or about any of our speakers. Just include #BlogIndiana somewhere in your tweet. The more people that do this throughout the day, the better our chances of #BlogIndiana turning into a trending topic on Twitter.

What’s in it for me?
Other than being part of the swarm of locals to help start a trending topic on Twitter, we will release a very nice discount code for registration to Blog Indiana 2009. This code will only be released (we’ll tweet it) if #BlogIndiana makes it to the trending list (even if only briefly). Once we confirm we’ve trended, the code will be released and will be valid for 24 hours.
